As a wildlife conservationist and someone who appreciates the beauty of nature, I found Crown in Portpatrick to be a great retreat. The staff welcomed us warmly, ensuring we felt at home, even with some ongoing renovations. Our room had lovely views and was spacious, though I noted it got quite chilly in the afternoons – perhaps a reconfiguration of the heating could be beneficial. The food was a standout; breakfast had an impressive selection of fresh items, and dinner did not disappoint—special shoutout to the dessert! The bar area offered a cozy atmosphere, perfect for unwinding. the free Wi-Fi in the rooms and thoughtful amenities like an electric kettle enhanced the experience. For the location and quality, Crown strikes a commendable balance between luxury and value, making it a wise choice for travelers seeking both comfort and experience.
